With so many topics being debated on social media nowadays, it can leave you overwhelmed and frustrated when trying to do the right things to keep yourself healthy and fit for a lifetime.

The overlooked benefit of long walks:

Most people will consider long walks a form of exercise. Some people, mostly the very fit, consider walking to be a waste of time..."Why walk when you can run?" But there is something that is oftentimes overlooked when it comes to walking. The mental clarity that comes from just covering distance on foot. I have found this to be exponentially more valuable when you do it in nature.

Is diet soda really that bad for your health:

Love it or hate it, It's been my experience that those who are addicted to - really struggle to eliminate it. I have seen people lose weight when they did find way to eliminate it from their diet. Full disclosure though, it was also part of a more comprehensive health plan. So I'm not 100% sure it was just the removal of the diet soda that caused the weight loss. But aside from weight loss, I have a gut feeling, it's not healthy. I can't PROVE it...but I choose to opt-out personally.

Syncing your sleep for better health:

I have found sleep to be an X-Factor when it comes to health and fitness. It does not take much convincing to get someone to agree that sleep is important. The hard part is getting people to be more intentional about their sleep. For most people I encounter, the problem is simple...electronic use. Having the discipline to put the phone down and GO TO SLEEP is easier said than done.

Conclusion:

In a world full of conflicting advice and debates about health and fitness, it's easy to feel lost. But sometimes, the simplest solutions are the most effective. Long walks offer not just physical exercise but also mental clarity, especially when immersed in nature. Making intentional choices, like cutting out diet soda or opting for better hydration, can complement a more comprehensive health plan. And perhaps the most undervalued yet transformative habit of all is prioritizing sleep—a foundational pillar of health that amplifies the benefits of everything else you do.
